I haven't had as much computer time as I thought I would...so when I do have a chance to sit down at the computer, I check my email and that is about it. But I thought I would update my blog real quick...
Things here in Minneapolis are going well! I've got a 98 average in my class...as of right now. Hopefully it will stay up there in the high 90's for the next three weeks!
God is teaching me a lot concerning patience and waiting. Lots of waiting going on here. Waiting on the bus. Waiting on the train. I'm used to walking out the door and getting in my car and going. Other than last weekend when I rented a car for a day, I have been waiting on public transportation a lot. But it has helped me to learn how to get from point A to point B without a car.
Patience has come in to play with people who are slow in picking up on what is being discussed in class. One person in particular...who just happens to sit beside me...can not grasp how to use Microsoft Word or anything else that has to do with the computer and she is always asking me for help. "Patience, Rhonda, Patience!!! Some people are not as quick as others!"...I tell myself on a daily basis!
My time in Minneapolis has been such a great learning experience...great for my career and great for my personal life! I am blessed to be here.
Well, that is a quick and very rough draft/update...but I've got to go...

Well, I am in Minneapolis...and it is freezing!!!!!! I haven't been this cold since...I don't remember when!
God has worked out every little detail of my time here! My roommate is awesome! I could have ended up with the other girls that go out and bar hop/party every night after class and cuss up a storm like there is no tomorrow. But I was paired up with the roommate who is very respectable and nice and does not care in the least to go to the bars. I ended up being put in the room with the window A/C unit. NO, I am not using the A/C!! But I am using the fan on the unit at night to circulate the air in the room...I can't sleep in a room with stale air. Oh, and as I was making my bed the first night I stayed at the apartment, I noticed that someone had left a knife for me by my bed in the magazine rack on the night table!!! HAHAHA...I had to laugh when I saw the knife waiting for me beside my bed! (see the last few paragraphs from my post on December 10th!) I will be able to protect myself if a serial killer breaks in to my room! :-)
Class is going well!! I made a 99 on my first test that we had yesterday! The information being taught is very interesting to me so that makes it easier to remember. This is probably going to end up being the best thing I could have done for myself at this point in my life! Who knows what God has in store next!
I'll be back later with more updates...
